Just here to say, years later, this slaw is still maybe my favorite recipe of all times of yours. Made again yesterday.

We made the strawberry margs, the pimento corn dip and the Mac and cheese for our 4th of July! The corn dip was my favorite - we devoured it!!

sesame-scallion slaw - made this today, I've had it flagged for a long time. Delicious, flavorful, and beautiful too. Very easy and quick when you buy the coleslaw bags at TJs or elsewhere. I am curious to know what additional dinner dishes you'd prepare to go with this fantastic side/salad? Asian influences? I wonder if grilled chicken could make this more a meal? Per usual, another hit!

grilled chicken definitely would be great. you can even shred up a rotisserie, toss it into the slaw and make a big asian cabbage salad.

Can the strawberry lemon margaritas be prepped ahead and frozen for later use?

Caroline Chambers's avatar

they're not a frozen marg, so just throw them in the fridge!!

I think they might have meant like as a make-ahead thing (like several days/weeks in advance). Or maybe I’m misreading that 😅

Not something that ever occurred to me but now I’m curious and need to know!

This helped me make the best dinner I’ve made in a while AND use up a bunch of garden produce: charred flour tortilla, generous spread of the eggplant dip, lemon pepper chicken, peppers and onions, and an avo tomato salad on top. YUM.

Ok this sounds freaking delicious.

I’ve recently found it hard to think outside the box when it comes to preparing a great summer spread. So these recipes will really come in handy, especially your Corn in Pimento cheese recipe. Thanks for sharing.
