I made the soup tonight and it was AMAZING. A friend was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and this was an amazing GF meal to make for her that still felt cozy and hearty without having to worry about any substitutions either.

I was SCREAMING the entire time I listened to this podcast. I am a labor and delivery nurse and lactation consultant and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this 🤯 when an OB/GYN tells a patient that the weight is “just going to fall off if they are breast-feeding”. Breastfeeding burns hundreds of calories a day but you also need to eat hundreds of extra calories a day to make milk... I wish I could play this podcast on a constant loop throughout the entire maternity unit, thank you thank you thank you!

Caro, I listened to this pod recently and your discussion of “no one prepares you for postpartum” reminded me of this Fridamom commercial that was shown to me in a prep-for-baby class… this 1 minute video probably prepared me (and terrified me) more than anything on what the reality was going to look like trying to go to the bathroom! With my son (1st baby) the weight fell off with breastfeeding. Like waaay off. I was too skinny. But after my daughter, I weigh more now than I was when I was pregnant. Time will tell what happens when I stop BF.

I definitely experienced the breastfeeding weight loss without even noticing-and immediately regained all the weight once I stopped breastfeeding! I definitely noticed that.

I can't wait to try this soup!
