for putting something under the tree to represent a gift - my mom always did this for my sister and I as kids! We were (are!) big musical theatre nerds, and our birthday/Christmas gifts usually included tickets to a musical. My mom would wrap up something that represented the show, and then we'd have to guess what it represented, which sometimes went well (the pack of curtains when we saw CURTAINS was pretty straight-forward) and sometimes took forever (we couldn't understand that the stuffed Neopet with a paper crown was supposed to be the Lion King) but was always a fun adventure!
Yes, we have done the trip/experience gift several times with my kids. The first year we gifted suitcases with some smaller clue gifts. Following that, we placed the same suitcases under the tree and included (increasingly tricky as they've gotten older) clues. My oldest will be studying abroad this spring, and I couldn't recommend this gift more for establishing a love for travel adventures!
Maybe the funniest line ever written?
"Such a fun and easy gift for anyone who has hair!"
Thank you for noticing, I think that might truly be the funniest thing I've ever written.
my kids are getting their own suitcases this year as a precursor to getting trip gifts.
Love this!!! Stealing your idea when my kids are a little older

Not gonna lie, I thought the reading light was some sort of new age tampon. 🫣
