Ok I'm a little late to this but it is so familiar in the pregnancy/postpartum chunk of life and all the hormonal rage and depression. And I realized listening to this that I do all these things: managing the household, taking care of the kids and I'm also currently pregnant. I feel like my husband is not totally clueless. He's participating in parenting, but I still have to remind him to do most things. I am not working right now, but I still feel like I'm mentally drained by all this. How did you find these unicorn proactive men?! And how do you convince your husband to do the Fair play cards without it sounding like complaining or criticism??

You are not alone, at all! Eve Rodsky (the creator of the Fair Play method) is coming on So Into That in two or three weeks, I'll ask her for her tips on presenting it to husbands! I'm reading the book now and to get her husband on board she basically was like "I'm drowning, I need help, and we'll probably have a lot more sex if I'm not drowning" and he jumped right onboard haha!

Gah!! That's fantastic! I can't wait for that episode. I guess I better start by reading the book! Lol The description alone is fascinating.

And seriously, my husband is awesome but he's also super laid back and I'm a super assertive/type A personality so I think that's the main reason for our imbalance. It actually got WORSE when I decided to stay home full time. Thank you so much for diving more into this!

this is exactly what she talks about in the book -- it's not about the husband being shitty, it's just what natural happens in MOST homes!
