The creamless creamy soup looks amazing but I have to mention a shortcut tomato soup that I saw on a “what to cook when you just can’t” comment string on Cup of Jo. One jar Rao’s marinara, 1 can of drained white beans (or even garbanzo), blend. Add water to desired consistency. So easy and kid approved. When grilled cheese is too much, I serve with take and bake baguettes and cut chunks of sharp cheddar at the table.

absolutely brilliant, and could also work with the creamy but creamless soup secret ingredient -- cashews!!

I cook for 3 for dinner every night and pack 3 lunches. My daughter is in 8th grade and her school doesn't have lunch so we all gotta eat! Wait til your kids are bigger...the quantity of food you'll need will blow your mind!

I have a 14 year old male athlete in my house... I think that counts as 2-3 adult portions?

Our now 5yo and 2yo did/can sometimes put away more food than I do! It was so hard to not interrupt their eating because I just didn’t think it was possible for them to eat that much. And my husband is a big eater too. The amount of food we cook on a nightly basis is staggering. I shudder when I think of two teen boys eating dinner and the third child’s mouth I am currently incubating for 3 more weeks.

I think this is my favorite meal plan so far. We rarely have leftovers though, and often need a little extra. 2 adults, a 17 y.o. boy, 5 y.o. boy, and 1 y.o. girl. The 17 y.o. eats for 2 adults, and the 1 y.o. out eats the 5 y.o. 😅

New-ish subscriber and I can’t believe these are every month! 😍 I loved v6 and will absolutely be cooking this one next week. Also, is there ever such a thing as too much coconut rice?

Woops forgot to say I also made the bisquits. I felt so accomplished to make a bread with dinner : ) They were equally as awesome!

I made the tomato soup yesterday and it was soooo good. I did add the cream though. Makes enough to share with your daughter : ) and still enough for lunch today. I used my stick blender and it was perfect. Thanks again Caro for all the recipes. You are amazing.

I 'only' feed 3 adults and 2 kids - but one of the adults is a 16 year old boy who eats more than me & his dad put together. The 6 year old just eats scrambled egg most nights... but then I also have a 1 year old who is in the 'eats everything, and lots of it' phase. Never leftovers unless I guard them jealously and hide them away in the fridge - otherwise by the time the boys have loaded the dishwasher there's never anything left!

New here and cooking for two adults and three kids - plus my daughter and my husband fight over leftovers to bring to school/work. I LOVE the way your recipes are written - and after a month of making everything you tell me to I know it’s always fantastic so I just add your weekly recipe to my meal plan without even really looking at it. I love feeding my family and am grateful for your recipes!! Love from Houston💜💜💜

We have leftovers because I typically double the recipe for two adults, one high schooler, and one middle schooler.

I’ve got to say… I eat leftover salmon all of the time. I roast a big piece and then add it to salads all week. I have to try your gochujang version.

I just have to say I love cold cooked salmon. Throw it in with eggs you’re scrambling. Any kind of salad. I could eat cold grilled salmon every day of my life.

Same. I was wondering if I’m a culinary weirdo. Glad I’m not alone. Cold salmon slaps. 🐟

We also love the creamless creamy soup leftovers as pasta or pizza sauce

ok absolutely brilliant. this makes me think... thickened up (aka cooked until thicker) it would also be so good in place of the romensco here https://whattocook.substack.com/p/almost-one-pan-garlic-butter-roasted

The kale salad is so good! I had never tried salt massaging kale before. I was aware of it but couldn't be bothered, I'm a believer now haha. I also added minced garlic and ginger to the dressing because I felt like it. Great meal plan, I've been super busy lately and this is just easy enough to not find an excuse for another night of takeout.

We followed this meal plan this week and LOVED IT!!! And my 2 year old was all about the coconut rice, broccoli, tomato soup, biscuits, and enchilada skillet! Such a win! Trying the smashburgers tonight :) TY for doing the Lord's work!

Soooo happy with this! It’s made me week so easy. I’ve been kind of picking and choosing which recipes to make but steadily working my way through them! Just made the smashburgers with air fryer fries for my husband and myself. Also my 3 year old eats NOTHING. Thank you Caro!!
