That lowcountry boil is what we call a crawfish boil down here! No sides needed (since people boil everything from corn and potatoes to mushrooms and onions along with the crawfish). The key is lots of lemon! And no need for fancy cocktails. Just bring your favorite beer or drive though a daiquiri shop (yes, you heard that correctly--drive-thru daiquiris) on your way.

We recently moved just over the state line into MS, but yes--I’ve lived in Southern Louisiana most of my adult life. The food is phenomenal!

Granted it was winter, but for a weekend away with friends, we did carnitas nacho bar. It was super easy to prep everything ahead of time and we did a ton of toppings. I melted the cheese on tortilla chips in the oven and then people could add whatever toppings they wanted. Easy!

Nachos are definitely a four seasons occasion. LOVE this idea. I always to taco bars but a nacho bar is such a fun idea for an indoor party (you'd want to be close to the oven I guess??)

Love this! My go to dinner party is menu is tostadas, for very similar reasons to your taco party. I can make everything ahead of time and it is really easy to task people if they want to bring something. We usually do thinly sliced grilled steak (flank, skirt or flatiron - I work for a grassfed beef company, so we've got meat for days around here!), refried black beans, and/or fish (albacore tuna, rockfish and salmon are favorites) depending on the season as the main toppings. Then round it out with a ton of toppings and let everyone build their own tostadas. Total crowd pleaser and I can drink margaritas with my feet in the kiddie pool instead of cooking once the party starts.

I am OBSESSED WITH THIS. Doing this next time. Do you buy or fry your own tostadas?

Umm, for sure buy them! Going for easy here ;) I just buy any ol' brand at the grocery store. Guerrero is really common around here (Oregon) but seriously, any tostada will do. Oh,and summer pro-tip: if it is crazy hot, I don't even cook the fish. Just make ceviche. Fish, lime, some red onion, all set. If we're having a crowd, I head to Costco for the fish - they have the best prices and awesome fish quality.

Our favorite is make your own pizza night- we used to do it on grill or oven but now we have a Ooni we do it in. Latest we did was a pizza cook off for who has the best pizza flavor combo! Guests bring their toppings for their flavor combo

Ok I always want to do this and then it ends up being stressy because I have to man the oven! But I think that's because we don't have an outdoor pizza oven, and we always entertain outdoors!!!! You're making me want an Ooni....

We went in halfsie with a neighbor on it, we literally just pass it between the two houses. Only prep is having dough and you can buy that! Then just throw them in. It’s soo fun!
