Made this tonight! So easy and SO much freaking flavor. Loved it. Cannot wait to make this a staple in our house. Costco sells good size shrimp that have the tails off!! $20 for 2 lbs! The best!
would you be able to use frozen already cooked shrimp for this? I have a bag from TJs in the freezer and I'm looking for easy and delicious ways to use it...
Made it tonight! I added pickled onions (subbed rice vinegar for red wine vinegar)--so good! We had no shrimp leftover, so I’m gonna marinate some tofu in the leftover sauce for lunch tomorrow, with leftover rice + veg and roasted seaweed sheets on the side!
Oh my goodness our family LOVED this! Hubby doesn’t eat shrimp or cucumbers so we subbed salmon and zucchini. Both were phenomenal. It felt like a good, clean meal. We added pickled red onions and some white sauce too. I will definitely add this one to our dinner rotation. Thanks!!
Soooo I made the shrimp and instead of sushi rice did left over coconut rice (and non of the sushi fixings… just a side of sauté green beans.) it was delicious and the sauce from the butter and bits of marinade that get in the pan was great over the rice. I know I know not the exact recipe but had to share bc it was so delicious and took no time!
LOVE THIS! Made it tonight and my husband and I devoured it. My two kids (2 and 4) picked at various parts, but really hit their groove when we started making "polka dot rice balls" by mixing black sesame seeds into the rice and smooshing it into balls in our hands. It got utterly out of control, rice all over the floor and all over them, but they had such a blast and ate SO MUCH! We even made "secret chicken balls" and hid a piece of chicken in the rice ball. Wild times over here in motherhood. We decided that next time, we would make the balls ahead of time to avoid such a mess. 10/10 recommend the actual recipe and the rice balls (water on your hands to prevent the rice from sticking to them!)
Well these were a huge hit. My four year old declared that the “rice tastes just like candy” and the 2 year old ate four shrimp and said the cucumbers tastes like “apple cider!” For two kids that are fairly picky this was an enormous win! I knew I’d love it - and I did and can’t wait for leftovers.

Made this tonight with salmon instead of shrimp (inspired by your somewhat recent insta stories) - so delicious!! 😋

it makes me so happy that you made it work by subbing two of the main ingredients!!!
Your recipes and guidance give me confidence!!
really makes my day!
Do you think I could thaw the shrimp IN the marinade? 🤔 I know it would get a little watery but would make it so I could marinate longer…
Yes!!
So so good and easy summer dinner.. didn't have cucumber but swapped in zucchini- worked well. Kids loved it!

This looks delicious! I'm thinking about making it but possibly substituting the shrimp for some tuna to make it a poke bowl :)
I didn't read ahead and used all my sauce to marinade the shrimp ! can I boil it after and still use it as a sauce? or should I just make some more?
Boil for 5 mins and use! If it gets too thick just stir in a splash of water
Looks delicious, is it possible to make with precooked shrimp? Marinate the precooked shrimp and heat?
This is delicious! If my kids won't eat avocado, is there another way to incorporate some fat into this deliciousness?

Making this this weekend. My kids are spice wimps. Just leave the sriracha out?
use a tiny bit for flavor! a bit won't be too spicy. like 1 tsp
