We’ve been eating out as a family a lot more since nighttime practices, etc, have slowed down. It’s a treat to have everyone in the same place at the same time.
I've filled my freezer with sugar free popsicles, its the perfect treat for our 3.5 year old. At the end of the day after the baby goes to bed, we go outside to water the plants and he sits there with his popsicle. Its so easy and fun!
That golden time at the end of the day after baby goes to bed and you get a few chill minutes with the toddler are the best - especially outside with a popsicle!
This post just inspired me to make a summer bucket list. It’s lowkey as I currently have a newborn (and a toddler) but I’m excited not to let this summer pass me by!
Im a teacher in Buffalo, NY so I dont officially start summer until Friday afternoon. My teens have been begging for mid week drive in movies and bonfires and I cant wait to start being able to enjoy this special time with my 15 and 17 year old who still want to spend time with me
I was raised by a teacher in Buffalo and going to the drive in is still one of my favorite summer activities when I go home! My other favorite summer memory is when my mom would let me get ice cream for dinner
I’m pregnant with my first baby, so my husband and I are going on lots of little summer dates to close out one chapter of our lives and welcome a new one!
To make up for a missed pool play date due to bad air in LA, a mom friend and I gave our kids inside pool day at my apartment. I spread out a pool towel for a picnic lunch on paper plates. Then we got our kids into swimsuits and goggles for a pool-in-the-bath. And summer crafts too. It was a really great day!
I found a pie crust recipe that tastes like my grandpa's and I've decided to make a pie each week this summer. It makes him feel close (he passed away 3 years ago).♡
We bought new bubbles. The kids are 15 & 18, and I am (WAY) older. Taking a break to blow bubbles is such a wonderful way to re-center or zone out as needed. The Kids have started blowing bubbles on walks, much to the delight of younger neighborhood kids and dogs.

Summers in Monterey are bonfires, cozy sweatshirts, sailing and sunsets!
Sailing!!! Jealous!!!
I take my book out to my front porch in the evenings and read. Listening to the country sounds and reading is my idea of summer heaven.

We do Dairy Queen a lot during the summer too!! Can’t beat a blizzard
I have so many fond memories of the same thing! I grew up in Springfield.

Coffee outside in the morning listening to the birds. Also, unrelated, can we get some CARO CHAMBERS MERCH pleaseeee??
Every Sunday evening in my town is a concert in the park. We load up snacks and wine and spend a few hours listening to great music with friends.

We have after work dinner beach picnics. So easy and fun!
Camping as a family, summer camp with slow mornings, and lots of swimming!
