Just clicked into the pot roast recipe (which I’m so excited about)and was scanning the recipe and unconsciously looking for subs/swaps list for things that I’m too fussy to find…you’ve trained my brain 🤪🤦🏻♀️
I had a friend in town when I did your cooking class and that turned her on to the book as well, so she ordered it and we are now both trying to make all the recipes and discussing them. My husband and I both really loved the pork and plums recipe. I did the turkey taco salad and had three meals of that so I'd say I loved it. Then today I made the lemon pancakes and will be eating those for several days. Admittedly, I did them GF and used 1 % milk instead of whole, and they are still yummy! Thank you :)
I have the cream and corduroy versions of that Uniqlo bag and it is the GOAT! It is truly Mary Poppins’ bag – a diaper and a water bottle is ONLY THE BEGINNING of what you can fit!! Plus it’s very comfy to wear.
so funny, i had never heard of this bag before sarah shared it with me, and then my girlfriend came over last night and was wearing it!!! now i need one...
I've made the Peanutty *Chicken* and Brussels three times since your Kitchen Party (once with chopped broccoli), it has quickly become a staple in our house and we love it with coconut milk rice to bulk it up a bit! I've also made the Pimento Cheese Everything Bagel Galette, Lemon Pancakes (with crushed up TJ's dried raspberries mixed in), Salmon Crunch Bowls, and three batches of the granola from last week's newsletter. I've been posting the dishes on Instagram and three of my girlfriends have bought your book since!
Question related to the pot roast... I have a prime rib sitting in my freezer (grocery promo from Easter) - now that it's cooling off on the East Coast, is there a WTC recipe (or other) you would recommend I could sub it into??? I know it's a longer cook time/multiple dish recipe so it's a bigger ask.
Pesto fish and veg roast, low country boil (but that has been on repeat for us since it was originally shared on substack), braised fish, and went fruit picking with the kids last weekend - so planning the use our peaches for the snickerdoodle cobbler this week!
Thanks for sharing the links to the podcasts… love learning about different podcasters I did not know previously and no better way than hearing them interview you!
The Peanutty Pork & Brussels Sprouts from the cooking party was SO GOOD! (I’m the one from Instagram who subbed Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter when I realized last minute I didn’t have any PB. It totally worked, the gingery base was a great flavor addition.) This week I’ve had the Cannellini Caprese w/ Burrata for lunch every day. I made a big batch and just left it in the fridge at work. Yesterday a co-worker poked her nose in my door to ask what smelled so good! The flavors really intensify the longer it sits. Now the tomato farro is calling out to me to be next.
I’m so glad you linked to the microplane brand microplane. It is hands down the best of the best. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CASHIER AT W-S WHO TELLS YOU THEIR HOUSE BRAND ONE IS JUST AS GOOD. IT IS NOT. This is how I’ve ended up with many microplanes before just committing only buying the brand. Clearly this is something I feel passionately about 😂
I’ve made the sheet pan fajitas and turkey burgers.. both are KEEPERS! Can’t wait to work my way through the whole book. Also just ordered a copy for my SIL… she’s got three under five and needs dinner inspiration.
Peanutty Pork and Brussels, Canbellini Caprese w/Burrata, Salmon Crunch Bowls, Coconut Curry Chicken Meatballs and Veggies + at least 10 in queue to be made next!!!
ps just gonna leave this petition to save my lady jane right here... https://www.change.org/p/demanding-amazon-prime-to-renew-my-lady-jane-for-a-second-season
Hubby and I both loved it. Didn’t realize it was cancelled.

I'm so glad that someone else loves My Lady Jane. I watched it straight through this summer and am on a rewatch. Quite annoyed it was canceled.
I have made several of the recipes from your book but my favorite so far is the Dilly Chop. It's soooo good! We've had it at least 3 times already!

Braised fish: Used pre-shredded kale/cabbage which I added instead of spinach. Used garlic as well. It was absolutely delicious!

the Peanutty pork and brussells are DA BOMB
The cheesy polenta and kielbasa bowls are on repeat in our house and have been since you wrote the recipe!
Coconut curry chicken meatballs were a hit with 50% if my children and I liked them, too. Freezing a portionfor future work lunch
