My dough was soggy in the middle even after extending the cook time ….recs for how to get it baked better? I was thinking maybe par-baking? Idk! Otherwise this slapped.
I read comments about soggy crust and cooked mine on the bottom rack of the oven. Followed recipe exactly using cream cheese and it came out excellent, crisp crust!
I loved this! Was my first time working with pizza dough. The edge pieces stuck pretty badly to the pan, and my middle pieces were pretty soft. But it all tasted delicious regardless. Will be making again!
These flavors weee SO good! My husband loved it and he can be tough to please. Only question/issue I have is I couldn’t get my dough to really stretch. I left it out for almost 90 minutes but it still kept retracting back. Any tips?? Maybe just even longer at room temp? Thank you!!
Not the author but I’ll leave my pizza dough out all day to get to room temp. I also knead it a couple time throughout the day, usually with a little oil so it doesn’t dry out. Still not easy to stretch but it works better.
Made this last summer and again tonight. I remember everyone loving it, but they had no recollection of it. Happy to say they loved it again! I kinda F’d it up a bit bc I accidentally put too much oil on it and it started smoking so I had to pull it out early. We just ate the outside pieces. I’m thinking I’ll just bake it again to get the inner squares fully cooked. Not sure.
Oh, and no meat this time, but I was going to add leftover bacon, chopped up, a few minutes before it was due to be done. But there’s a bacon thief in my house apparently, and no one is fessing up. 🧐
Finally made this one (it’s still summer weather for another month or two in Texas!) - we really enjoyed it! The tomatoes and garlic and cheese make a perfect flavor combo and the corn adds a nice little crunch! I could only find gluten free dough at our store - it worked but I feel like my dough was a little flimsy/soft/chewy so will try to use a regular dough next time. My husband (that normally must have meat with every meal) really enjoyed it too and I thought it reheated great.

I’ve made this twice and will make it again! Used cream cheese. Once fresh corn, once frozen. Nice late summer, EASY dinner.
Caro wins. This rocks.
