YES! Sweet potatoes have a different starch level, so they won’t crisp up as nicely, but they will be absolutely delicious. Just cut them into 1 inch cubes and microwave/ boil for less time!
How cold do the potatoes have to be once they go in the fridge? Like 10 min enough or completely cool! So glad I subscribed! Xo a fellow boarding school alum
I’ve never cooked a steak well before…. This was delicious! The directions were easy to follow and spelled everything out so I felt comfortable cooking something I have zero experience with.
I keep coming back for this recipe, it is just so good! Tonight we did venison backstraps that my husband cut about 2.5 inches wide and an inch thick so I only did 2 minutes per side. I also threw sliced mushrooms in on top of the potatoes! Every time we feel like we’re at a fancy restaurant and not just in our living room watching Netflix and eating an adult dinner after our kids are in bed 😂.
I love this recipe. I keep burning the seasoning on the steak. Do I have the heat too high?
darn! yes, you likely have super high burners, so try cutting them down next time and I'm sure you'll still get a great sear, without the burning!
Dug into the archives for this one to cook up a thick tenderloin and it came out to perfection!!
ah excellent digging!
This was great- steak came out perfectly. Thank you!
I'm so glad!!!!
Can you sub sweet potatoes in this recipe??

This sounds great but is there a substitute if I can’t use butter?
omit it or use vegan butter -- it melts nicely and adds flvor!! mykonos is great.
Thank you!

hi fellow boarding school alum! ideally, completely cool. if they're warm they'll just kinda crumble and fall apart
This was a *tasty* vday meal (even though I dropped my steak on the ground as I was pouring the juices on the taters)
