How is Muppet Christmas Carol, the most perfect piece of holiday entertainment, not even on the matrix? Michael Caine playing it completely straight as though he is not starring alongside puppets is <chef's kiss>. 10/10, no notes.
Hahaha ok I will admit I am not a fan and was too afraid to rate it honestly but the line about Michael Caine playing it straight just slayed me and made me want to add it to good-good.
I too showed up in the comments to demand justice for Muppet Christmas Carol and I'm very pleased to see my butter pants nation taking care of business. There's a real estate company in our area called Marley & Marley and every time we pass their signs we have to sing the "We're Marley & Marley, whoOoOaAaAhHh" line
THIS is the correct take and the undisputed magic behind the Muppet Christmas Carol and I salute you for recognizing its brilliance and vouching for it on the list! 🫡
Um, HELLLOOOO! You clearly forgot Bad Moms Christmas on your Good Good list. Kathryn Hahn. Kristen Bell. Mila Kunis. PETER GALLAGHER! SANDY COHEN is in this movie! Not to mention Justin Hartley and his taint. HOLLA!
OMG you’re right!!! Excellent entertainment! Each Christmas, my friend kicks her family out of the house, opens a bottle of wine, and puts on BadMom‘s Christmas and wraps all the gifts! Sweet little tradition.
My hot take is that Hot Frosty was so good that it’s misunderstood. The towns people just believing he is a snowman? The fact that he died and the town just left the body for the sherif? The scene where he asks her what is cancer? My take is that because it’s so *bad,* it transcends and becomes good good
I am both aghast and grateful that Muppet Christmas Carol didn’t make it onto the list: aghast because it absolutely breaks the matrix as a “great-great” film, and grateful because I could never recover if the WTC team placed it anywhere else but top right.
Choosing among my very, very sentimental ornament collection feels like choosing between children. I won’t do it! Long live the wonderful nostalgic hodgepodge.
Every year when I order our Christmas cards on Shutterfly, I make three super easy photo ornaments — one of a family picture and then one with a school/individual picture for each kid. I throw a text box with the year and grade in school. I get one for us, one for the kids’ memory boxes and for grandparents.
Easy gift, fun for us to get out each year and hang on the tree and then we can eventually give the kids the full sets when they are adults! It is super easy, cheap with coupons and looks like way more effort/thought that it really is.
Muppet Christmas Carol! It’s the only Christmas Carol version we watch, so last year when my daughter was cast as Tiny Tim in a school production, she asked her dad if they would paint her green for every practice or just performances 😂
My hot take as a Jew that didn’t grow up celebrating Christmas is that Love Actually is the best Christmas movie! Yes, I know it doesn’t hold up at all, and no, I don’t care 🙈
Yes to the pickle ornament!! My 3 year old is really into wearing kitty whiskers to school these days (I paint them on with liquid eyeliner), so I bought her a felt kitty ornament to remember this sweet phase of her life for Christmases to come.
My favorite ornament is one my husband got me after we had had our 2nd miscarriage. It’s a shepherd with 2 birds sitting on his shoulder, to represent our 2 angel babies. It was such a hard, emotional Christmas, but now that we are on the other side with 2 little wild kiddos and one more on the way, it’s a really sweet memory that I can look back on and hold with both grief and joy!
I was all prepared to rush to the comments and point out how you missed my absolute favorite Christmas movie, which is so often overlooked, but then I got to the end of your good list - it’s not the holidays until I’ve watched “While You Were Sleeping”!
Single all the Way on Netflix seems like it is going to be a good bad movie, but I’ve watched it every year since it came out and I think it’s actually just Good Good. A little like the Family Stone, but minus the tears and plus Jennifer Coolidge as a crazy aunt directing a kids Christmas play. An absolute must watch!!
I didn't see Klaus on the list- it's a cartoon but sooo good. We watched it for the first time after our second foster placement left and I sobbed. Highly recommend!

We have a “Barley & Barley” and we do the exact same thing- I’m convinced they knew what they were doing!! 😂

I saw this at the Rady Shell in San Diego with the symphony playing the music and it was THE best!!
The movie Klaus on Netflix is so very underrated and sweet. Definitely good-good in my opinion!
My favorite ornament is a little ballerina I got at the Nutcracker when I was probably 4 ❤️
Absolutely adore Klaus!
I ran to the comments to vent about Klaus not being rated!! I've converted my entire family and we watch it every Christmas Eve

I came to say this too!! Def goes into bad territory but in the best way!
Absolutely agree!!

The sheriff elevated Hot Frosty into incredible territory.
Agree! I also found it strangely touching? And kind of funny? What is wrong with me!
DEFINITELY so bad it's good. It felt pretty self-aware–the actors/characters really leaned into the absurdity.

Not to be that girl , but it’s Charlotte, not Samantha in Christmas in the Wild. Samantha would have made it much spicier. 😂
My fave ornaments are ones with memories of people or good times attached.
Brb quitting my job as a content creator after this fatal mistake

Shutterfly employee here - love this so much!!
Six years running!
Love this idea and back and forth so much!!

And thank you for the Hanukkah portion! Going to buy the cute figurines 👍🏻
Die hard is a hot take for being included and also for being in bad good!

OMG this is too precious
a merry Scottish Christmas!!!! Lacey chabert and Scott wolf reunited as siblings!

One of my “must watch every year” movies too!
It really is so sweet and the family antics are so funny!! Some laugh out loud parts!

Came back to say that Something from Tiffany's on Prime is pretty good too!
