Finally doing an embryo transfer after two hard years of infertility! Still waiting for results, but I’m proud of the work my husband and I have done on our marriage during this challenging chapter.
I’ve gotta be real honest y’all because I’m positive to a fault most of the time and I’m trying to be better about sharing my crap. Our January has sucked over here! A TMJ flare up, a flooded bathroom and bedroom, an out of commission car, a lot of job cancellations because January 💸, a tub that wouldn’t drain (separate from the first incident - so first we’re gonna overflow then we’re not gonna flow at all hahaha), and now that we’ve almost made it to the end we’re down for the count with the stomach bug. Okay my positivity is kicking in. I really loved the random record breaking snow we got in sunny Mobile, Alabama! It was so magical watching it through my baby’s eyes. Also already read two 5-star (to me) books - House in the Cerulean Sea and The Wedding People. Hoping next month will be better.
I wanted to leave a comment for the entry to the 831 stories giveaway but now I think my January highlight would be for you (Taylor) to win! You've been through a lot this month! Wishing you a calmer and lovely February.
Jan. Highlight is unexpected extended time helping my mom settle into her new neighborhood ~ learning mahjong, doing drum cardio classes, going to bingo and karaoke ... it's all more fun than I expected, and I know I'll always appreciate this time together.
Was coming here to say snow in the South (Birmingham, AL) for the first time since 2017. The kids had a BLAST and it was our youngest's first snow that she was old enough to actually play in. Rarely do we get "real snow" - it's typically ice, a dusting, nothing fun. This time was different and SO fun for our far south Alabamians to get even more the following week - Mobile, AL got 10-12 inches. Insanity and so fun for beach kiddos to have the opportunity to play in snow.
Whirlwind labor and birth of our second kiddo on Jan 1! I spent all of NYE lamenting that I felt terrible and would be pregnant forever…by 3 am I was contracting and by lunch I had a baby and was eating Chipotle 🫠

So happy for you and so proud of you.
Infertility was such a hard chapter of our lives. Three years over here. Sending love your way. Proud of you for doing hard things.
Your book recs are the best. I always immediately go to my Libby account and see if my local library has the goods!
I'm so glad!!!!!
I do the same!
Starting a new job! ✨
Get it, Tasha!!!

Two book clubs this month! And the theme for one was “Jammie’s in January” so it was extra cozy!! Also, Houston snow ❄️
Book club in jammies! Stealing this idea

OMG. Isn't it insane how once the baby is out you just feel instantly better?!?! Minus the whole tore up vagina thing.
Reading ALL the books on my new Kindle I got for Christmas!
