I was nervous about the first time doing things by myself with all 3 kids... the first bedtime alone with all 3, the first school drop off with all 3, the first stretch of solo parenting for days with all 3. But it's all been just fine, and none of it is intimidating anymore!!! Challenging at times yes, but not scary!!
I was just coming here to say this!! Sneak peek but I’m sending my newsletter out on Friday and am recommending that as one of my faves, and my true #1, Who’s That Girl? And it’s new sequel, You Belong With Me (we’ve been waiting 8 years for a resolution!!!) by Mhairi McFarlane 🥰
I don't have experience with advocacy, but I'm getting out of my comfort zone and hosting a Moms First event around pushing legislation to make child care more affordable!
Something I was terrified of but recently pushed myself into doing was setting up a meeting with a senior colleague who intimidates me. The meeting went so well and she ended up giving me some great advice and she threw my name in the ring for a project I am really interested in working on.
Oh yay so fun!! I have 2 of yours, I need to do the same! Also this new layout is so pretty. And you’ve convinced me to revive my crush on Adam Brody. Just deciding if I should make Ryan watch it with me or not. 😅
Oh don’t worry, there’s still LOTS of reading happening!! I 🤍 bedtime book time but we also have a newborn in the house to feed and bathe before bed so I’m thankful they can keep story time going without me in the room! If they had their way I’d be reading till midnight every night 🙃
In May, I finished my yoga teacher program, and I just started teaching my first classes! One of the classes I took over was everyone's absolute favorite teacher who has been teaching for years, and I just knew I would never be as good as her. But, I'm doing it! And while I'm not toally confident yet, I have a class full of wonderful people who are loving on me and encouraging me!
I keep putting on my Sunday list but not completing making Alison Roman’s pie crust that can be used for sweet or savory. I used it for a Boursin-zucchini galette that I think came from here? Anyway with the weather turning I just want a galette for Sunday supper every week.
I love the Windy City series! I’m reading The Pumpkin Spice Cafe right now. Not very smutty (yet) but allll the fall vibes. As for getting out of my comfort zone, my daughter decided she wanted to learn how to bike in the city, so…we’re learning!
Seems appropriate I just finished eating the Al pastor enchiladas as I read this and am excited to see which of these books to download before my road trip this weekend!

I got to “Smut I Read in September” and said out loud “did we just become best friends? YUP”. Came for the delish food, stayed for the smut recs.
Hahaha it's a real mixed bag of content on Wednesdays
I dismissed the notification and then went “wait smut???” and came to the app immediately 😂
I aim to please 😂😂😂
Hahah it’s like a bat signal 🤣
Have you read Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld? LOVED IT!!
And Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld! An updated Pride and Prejudice set in the Midwest. A perfect book! ❤️
YES obsessed with romantic comedy but somehow haven't read eligible?! Sounds extremely up my alley!!!!
You will love Eligible - I actually think it's better than Romantic Comedy! 😉😉

Loved the Liz Tomforde series!

This is so bad ass. Proud of you!!

Congratulations Natalie!!
No Ryan!!! Adam is to be cherished alone.
It hurt this retired librarian’s heart that Molly cuts short her reading aloud so her kids can play with a toy. Loved everything else!
Every mom needs a break sometimes!!!

That's amazing, Sarah!!! I know yoga teacher training is no joke. And that's huge that the studio chose you to take over the class!! 👏👏

Yesss zucchini Boursin galette! You need to make the mushroom one linked here it's insanely good!!!

I've had those on my TBR for sooo long but the title is so absurd I always ignore them!!! You gotta tell me if they're worth in
You MUST binge read Giana Darling’s The Fallen Men series!!
Ok done!!!

The Pumpkin Spice cafe series is so easy fall romance! I loved it a lot haha.
Slightly more serious romantasy: The All Souls series by Deborah Harkness - SO. GOOD. (also turned into a TV show but read the books first!!!!)
I was coming here to say that! Discovery of Witches is so beautiful
