Same here - just finished 10 min at 425 (emailed recipe says 8-10 at 400) and they were still raw, as well. Will update with how long they take for us!
Totally - I was going off your original email and didn’t think to check for updates. Will do if it’s an older recipe in the future! Thank you, Caroline 😊
So glad to find this thread. I just made these tonight but I was just referring to original email. Came here to ask WTH I did wrong because after 10 minutes in a 400 degree oven they were practically raw. I’d say this took closer to 30 minutes but I didn’t increase oven temp to 425 until about 15 minutes in. They turned out great eventually!
I rarely make chicken burgers because they are so often dry and tasteless. I love your recipes so I took a chance and these burgers are delicious!!! So flavorful and tender. Thanks for the recipe!
Delicious! Like some other commenters our pre-cooked burgers were really wet and fell apart a little on the grill. Do you think adding more breadcrumbs would help or measuring out a certain amount of salsa?
Also- I would add oiling the grill prior to putting the burgers on. I sprayed the patties but they stuck which didn't help with the falling apart. 🤣
Made these last night and they were so good! We did them on our cast iron griddle on the grill and I definitely recommend it!
We are only two people and a 16 month old so we saved the rest of the patty mix and I am going to turn it into taquitos tonight and am seriously so excited!
These are a favorite at our house. I made them for my birthday! My dad proclaimed it’s the only way he wants to eat ground Turkey from now on. Legit so good.
Made these tonight and my children - 2 and 5 - devoured them. 5 year old asked “Mom we really like the bread AND the chicken can you make more again really soon?” Um, sure if you eat that much! Need to double the recipe next time! And I forgot to get cilantro - it would’ve been even more delicious.
The patties were really really wet before cooking….I kept adding bread crumbs. I was skeptical but they turned out great. Cooked them in the toaster oven at 425. And the corn was a great accompaniment!
These were so good and just as delicious leftover the next day. We added a dollop of spicy guac from Whole Foods. Perfectly simple and fast for a night I truly did not feel like cooking.
So good! Here are my subs based on what I had and being dairy free:
Dairy free -- skipped the shredded cheese. I subbed shredded white sweet potato which I had done before in a chicken nugget recipe and it was awesome. Holds moisture, doesn't have strong sweet potato flavor. I only used 4 oz shredded sweet potato (as opposed to 8 oz shredded cheese)
Ground turkey was fine.
I think I put in extra salsa verde, not mad about it.
Also, I had to 1 2/3 the recipe (like doubling only 1 and 2/3ing) because Costco ground turkey packages are 1 2/3 lb. Not 1lb, not 2lb. Why is Costco this way???
I read the comments and baked for around 20 minutes and they were perfect.
Anyone else find it takes longer to cook in the oven? I did 10 minutes and then put back for 5, and temps were only 135*. Doing another 5 now.

Gonna update this recipe to give a bigger time range, thank you!
Oh wait, it already was updated. Were you looking at the original email? Sorry about that.... hate when dinner takes longer than expected!

Update: took about 20 minutes but they were delicious! I used middle oven rack - maybe should have put higher?
Thank you SO MUCH for this insight -- I'm not sure what happened with our test run versus yours but its great to know it might take this long!

Oh yes. The recipe says 425 for 15 to 20. 20 at 425 should be long enough!! Xx so glad you liked, and sorry they took longer than you anticipated!!
Yay and thank you for a day early so I can make these tonight!!
You are sooo welcome. I'm prepping them tonight for tomorrow so I figured a lot of y'all would be needing it early too!! Xoxo
Made these tonight and they were SO good!!!

Made in the oven and these were absolutely delicious. Definitely adding to the remake list.
Wow! These are amazing. Adding to the rotation!!
Caro this is a repeat in our house! It has to go in your book!!
for anyone super desperate for a bread crumb sub - crushed up stale tortilla chips worked great!

So yummy- we did ours on the grill. Def adding to the rotation!
