If you like audiobooks, Project Hail Mary is amazing! I usually read on my kindle, but a friend said this was one of the best audiobooks ever, and I have to agree (although I’m only about halfway through so far).
If anyone is going to the event at Auberge du Soleil and will be in Napa proper, I have to hype my favorite tasting room, River Club! The area isn't the most beautiful from the street, but the tasting room is right on the river, great wine, the nicest owners, and kid-friendly!! Like, with toys and crayons. Not just kid-tolerated, lol
Unfortunately I am so into redoing my basement rec room and consumed by reading all things epoxy flooring. This is single mom at 45 years of age with a 13 year old lol
Thank you for mentioning Elana Myers Taylor's gold medal win in monobob. I hope more people look into her if they haven't yet. What an inspiration! Not ONLY is she the mom of 2 young sons, her sons are both profoundly deaf and one has Down Syndrome. And she holds the most medals for any black athlete in Winter Olympics history. My best friend, who passed away at age 52 of pancreatic cancer last year (leaving 3 young kids) was the mom of a son with Down Syndrome. Her family remains very active in GiGi's Playhouse, a wonderful community for people with DS and their families, that Elana Myers and her son also take part in! So seeing her take gold made me ugly cry!
I’m usually an eyeball reader but you HAVE to listen to Project Hail Mary. I feel like I would have missed out on so much just reading that one. Also, the sobs at the end of Atmosphere were unreal. I was by myself on the comfort of my own couch when I fished the book and looked around to make sure no one could see me sobbing.
Hi friends! Do any of you recall how Caroline mentioned HOW she uses the PanOxyl face wash? I feel like she said she applies it like a mask but I don't recall how long she wears it. Help! :)
Those chipotle shrimp tacos are perhaps some of the most made and most loved WTC meals in our house. A true banger. I forget about them in the winter time sometimes but I think I’ll make them tomorrow to bring a little California into a blerghy Nashville February. Also, I went to HS with Jon Geoff and can confirm he was a total doll, delight, and ooooozed charisma even in high school.
I needed something to make for Mardi Gras and remembered your gumbo recipe from last year. I was always scared to make gumbo because it always seemed like a huge time commitment, but your recipe was so so good and easy!! Highly recommend.
My kids are off this week and our former nanny is visiting-I’ve been cooking the winter vacation house meal plan and it’s PERFECT. Our bellies are so happy.
I ordered Nutrafol to give it a try, but taking the 4 large capsules is so unappealing to me that I've been very inconsistent. Any tips? I don't have any other issues swallowing medicine in capsule/pill form so not sure why this is an issue for me, but I want to get over it and have glorious hair!
I’m not sure if this is a tip but I’ve had a lot of success swallowing pills by putting the pills in + taking a big sip of water + tilting my head back to let the pills & water “Float” up and then leveling my head and swallowing? It makes the pills just slide down? I have trouble sometimes where they get stuck and that has been the most helpful. Hopefully my description makes sense lol
Same, 100%! I don’t usually have an issue taking pills, but 4 of these feels like a lot and I dread taking them?! And so I don’t consistently take them! But I want good hair! No tips, just empathy - I feel you on this 100%! 😂
