Won’t lie I don’t usually feel excited about baked chicken breast but made this tonight and it was SO good. Made with thinner cut chicken and garlic bread on the side!

Yes! I realized after we ate that I should have made the loaf of bread into garlic bread and popped it in the over alongside the chicken.

Melissa Clark’s Dinner and your book are what I cook from the most. This is a fun mash-up I know we’ll love!

I made the recipe as written THEN sliced the chicken and put it on sub rolls topped with the delicious sauce for a riff on a chicken parm sando! 10/10!

This was not a winner for me but more so the texture of chicken breast? It was kinda spongy, and I think I just happened to buy particularly large ones so it kinda just made the whole thing almost watery. Anyone try this recipe w/diff protein?

This was sooo easy, especially for how great it tastes! Only note - when she says the marinara sauce might splatter when you pour it into the pan, it might actually explode all over your kitchen like a marinara volcano πŸ˜… don’t make my mistake and let your pan cool down just a tad.

Definitely recommend using thin sliced chicken breasts or cutting it before returning to the sauce as others suggested. Dinner ran pretty late due to chicken thickness and the kids didn’t love it cut after being finished

Was lucky enough to have a kid and husband free weekend (hello me time!). Went over my friends who is 2 weeks post partum and make this for her and he hubs. It was a huge hit! So easy to make too! I feel like this could be a great drop off meal as well.

Made this with chicken thighs and salami instead of pepperoni - my kids won't stop talking about how good it was!

Made this tonight and it was so tasty!!

Also want to shoutout the Dinner cookbook that was the inspiration for this recipe- it’s one of my faves for when I *do* feel like cooking!

Could I do this with a rotisserie chicken?

Made this last night, adding some canned artichoke hearts (my fav pizza topping) into the sauce about 10 min before the pepperoni and cheese. Delicious! Would be killed w some crusty garlic bread!!

Made this last night and got raves all around! Like other folks here, I served it with garlic bread and it was just a perfect plate of food. I used the Rao's "4 Cheese" marinara and it made for a spectacular sauce.

This was such a crowd pleaser for my family––everyone loved it, including my daughter who has very specific taste and texture requirements. This is going in the regular rotation. Thank you!

My kids (2 and 6-/who will rarely eat meat) absolutely gobbled this up!! Thanks!!

This was amazing! And I too am not usually excited by baked chicken. But, always trust Caro!

ok DELISH. This is a big hit with my whole fam! It’s a richer, more protein-y version of β€œpizza pasta” that we cooked in the Auburn chi o sorority dorm circa 2007πŸ˜….

I never regret the extra couple dollars spent to use rao’s in one of caros recipes where a jar a sauce is a big portion of the flavor.

Like another commenter suggested, I cut up the chicken into slices before returning to the sauce and adding cheese and pep! Made it much easier to serve at the table. Served with some pasta on the side!
