I’ve been meaning to leave a comment here for awhile but I realize I am so totally spoiled by the work that goes into the WTC recipes when I cook from other recipes and often end up having questions that goes unanswered or food that isn’t quite right / doesn’t look like the pictures, videos etc. WTC (both the cookbook and the subscription) have been foolproof and have many recurring weeknight dinners and new recipes on my table throughout the year. Thanks to Caro and team for all the hard work!

Totally agree, Vanessa! I am super spoiled by WTC, but I definitely feel more confident when I need to riff or go with my gut on subs/tweaks to other recipes! WTC for life.

I have a habit of doom scrolling before bed which I don't really care is/is not a problem lol but when I'm feeling burned out/overtired/stressed (I'm a full time working mom married to a commercial airline pilot!) I immediately stop the scrolling at night. Plug phone in, baby monitor on, lights out. 8:30 bedtime and a morning shower w coffee can fix a world of problems. Also: WATER

Can you share specifically how you put your phone away and "treat it as a landline" - when there are messages and other things that "need" to be read and replied to etc. ?

It’s a busy season with my husband in work ups to ready for deployment AND with all of my kids’ activities. I keep telling myself “One day at a time and one task at a time.” I can’t get too far ahead. I make sure everything (appointments, meals, track meets, play rehearsals, etc.) is in the schedule and go each step at a time.

So excited for this new book and appreciate your transparency here! When I’m feeling unmoored by a massive to do list, I block out my afternoon. 30 minutes on this, then a 15 minute walk, then an hour on this, then put in a load of laundry. I am extremely type A (duh?) and this helps decrease the overwhelm! It’s also very satisfying to check off each thing as I go…. 🤓

When I got your email about the new cookbook, my first thought was, “how did she do it?!?!” I can hardly get my house vacuumed once a week 🤣🤣🤣

Love this post so much. As a fellow crazy-busy person and also type z (lol), I absolutely love all of your life hacks you share.

For me, one of the biggest hacks is planning out the week in detail (especially meal planning!!!)

Knowing the plan and then executing is such a time saver.
